This is a hands‑on, senior technical role for an engineer who wants to build real financial systems from the ground up, not maintain legacy platforms.
The Opportunity
- Own and architect core backend systems for a global consumer finance product
- Build and scale infrastructure across payments, ledgering, and crypto‑banking
- Work directly with technical founders to set engineering standards and best practices
- Ship software that handles real money at international scale, with Day‑1 global impact
The Tech
- Python (FastAPI) backend on AWS
- Postgres, Redis
- REST APIs powering iOS, Android, and Web clients
- Integrations with banking APIs, payment rails, and crypto wallet providers
- Openness to Rust and/or Go for performance‑critical services
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years building and shipping fintech software
- Deep expertise in at least one of: payments, ledgering, stablecoin infrastructure, or risk/fraud
- Strong backend fundamentals and experience operating production systems
- Proven track record of building, not just maintaining, financial systems
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, senior‑only, in‑office environment
- GitHub profile required
