Are you a dynamic sales leader ready to drive impact in the public sector? Our client is seeking a hands-on, player-coach Sales Manager to spearhead conference-based lead generation and manage the full sales cycle for cutting-edge AI solutions serving local governments.
What You’ll Do:
- Attend and represent at industry conferences (3–4 days/week during peak seasons)
- Build relationships, generate leads, and manage all event logistics
- Own and nurture leads from initial contact through demo, proposal, and close
- Track sales metrics, maintain pipeline hygiene, and forecast with precision
- Leverage your CRM expertise (HubSpot or similar) to optimize workflows and data
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and outbound partners
What We’re Looking For:
- 5–7 years in sales or business development, ideally in GovTech or public sector tech
- Proven success managing a metrics-driven pipeline
- Deep comfort with HubSpot or similar CRM (admin or power-user level)
- Technical background (STEM degree or relevant experience)
- Willingness to travel extensively (~75% during peak seasons)
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Self-directed, accountable, and thrives in a player-coach role
